Payment Policy
This Payment Policy explains the payment methods we accept, the currency we charge in, when payments are taken, and how refunds are handled for orders placed with Oaknova. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.
1. Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods at checkout:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
- Discover
- PayPal
The payment methods shown during checkout are the payment methods available for that order at that time.
Availability may vary depending on factors such as:
- checkout configuration
- customer location
- payment provider availability
- technical or service-related conditions
Oaknovallc does not currently offer Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services such as Klarna, Afterpay, or similar installment-based payment options unless such a method is clearly displayed at checkout.
2. Website Currency and Payment Currency
Unless clearly stated otherwise on the website or during checkout, all prices and payment amounts are shown in USD .
This includes, where applicable:
- product prices
- shipping charges
- other clearly disclosed order amounts shown before payment is submitted
If the customer’s card, bank account, or PayPal account uses another currency, the customer’s bank or payment provider may apply:
- its own exchange rate
- currency conversion charges
- related processing or transaction fees
Any such charges are set by the relevant financial institution or payment provider and are outside Oaknovallc’s control.
3. When Payment Is Charged
Payment is generally collected when the customer submits the order at checkout.
Before an order can move into normal processing, the payment transaction must be successfully:
- authorized
- approved
- or otherwise confirmed under the selected payment method
Payment submission does not by itself mean that the order has been finally accepted in all circumstances. In some situations, an order may still be delayed, placed on hold, declined, or canceled under Oaknovallc’s related policies.
4. Payment Review and Verification
Customers are responsible for entering accurate payment and checkout information, including:
- payment details
- billing details where required
- contact information needed for order handling
If a transaction cannot be verified, remains unconfirmed, or shows unusual payment or verification indicators, Oaknovallc may:
- place the order on hold
- request additional review
- decline the order
- cancel the order where appropriate under our related policies
If an order is placed on hold for payment-related review, Oaknovallc generally aims to review it within 1 to 2 business days . Some reviews may take longer if further verification is needed.
5. Reviewing the Order Total Before Payment
Before placing an order, customers can review the order total shown at checkout.
That total may include:
- the product subtotal
- any other applicable amount clearly displayed for the order
Unless clearly stated otherwise during checkout, Oaknovallc does not add a separate fee solely because the customer chooses one of the payment methods offered on the website.

6. Failed, Declined, or Unconfirmed Payments
If a payment attempt fails, is declined, or is not successfully confirmed, the order will not proceed into standard processing until valid payment has been received.
In that situation, the customer may need to:
- try the payment again
- use another available payment method at checkout
Oaknovallc does not guarantee that an item, price, or checkout session will remain available while a failed or incomplete payment is being resolved.
7. Pending Charges, Authorization Holds, or Duplicate-Looking Activity
In some cases, a customer’s bank or payment provider may temporarily show a transaction as:
- pending
- under review
- authorized but not fully posted
- duplicated in appearance
If you notice a pending charge, temporary authorization hold, or another unusual payment status, please first check whether you received an order confirmation email. You may then contact Oaknovallc so we can review the payment status on our side.
The way pending activity appears on an account is controlled by the relevant bank or payment provider and may vary between institutions.
8. Secure Checkout
Oaknovallc uses a secure connection for checkout.
For security reasons, customers should not send full card details or other sensitive payment information through:
- contact forms
- chat messages
- or any non-secure communication channel
Payment details should be entered only through the designated secure checkout environment provided on the website.
9. Gift Cards and Store Credit
Oaknovallc does not currently offer gift cards or store credit as a standard payment method or standard refund method, unless clearly stated otherwise on the website or at checkout.
10. Refund Method
Any approved refund is returned to the original payment method used for the order.
Refund eligibility depends on the type of request involved. For example:
Oaknovallc does not normally issue approved refunds to a different card, different PayPal account, alternative payment channel, gift card, or store credit unless required by law or otherwise expressly agreed in a specific case.
11. Refund Processing Time
If a refund is approved under one of Oaknovallc’s related policies, the refund is generally processed within 7 business days , unless a different timeframe is expressly stated in the applicable policy.
This processing period begins after the refund has been approved under the relevant policy.
After Oaknovallc processes the refund on its side, the customer’s bank, card issuer, PayPal, or other payment provider may require additional time before the funds appear in the account.
12. Payment Support and Transaction Questions
If a customer has a question about a payment attempt, declined transaction, pending charge, or refund, the customer should contact Oaknovallc as soon as possible so we can review the matter from our side.
In many cases, payment-related issues may also need to be checked directly with:
- the bank
- the card issuer
- or the relevant payment provider
This is especially true for matters involving exchange rates, authorization holds, bank-side declines, or posting delays after a refund has already been processed.
13. Frequently Asked Questions
13.1 When am I charged?
Payment is generally collected when you submit your order at checkout.
13.2 I see a pending charge or temporary hold. What does that mean?
Your bank or payment provider may temporarily show the transaction as pending or place an authorization hold before the final posting status is completed. Please check whether you received an order confirmation email first, then contact us if you need help reviewing the status.
13.3 Do you charge extra for card payments or PayPal?
Unless clearly stated otherwise at checkout, Oaknovallc does not charge a separate fee only because you selected one of the supported payment methods shown on the website.
13.4 If my payment fails, is my order still reserved?
Not necessarily. The order will not move into normal processing until valid payment is successfully received and confirmed.
13.5 Where is my refund sent?
Approved refunds are generally returned to the original payment method used for the purchase.
13.6 Do you offer Klarna, Afterpay, or other installment payments?
No. Oaknovallc does not currently offer Klarna, Afterpay, or similar BNPL services unless such an option is clearly shown at checkout.
13.7 Do you offer gift cards or store credit?
No. Oaknovallc does not currently offer gift cards or store credit as a standard payment or refund option.
14. General Policy Notes
If a mandatory legal requirement in the customer’s jurisdiction requires a different result, Oaknovallc will apply that requirement to the extent necessary.
